The employee-owned difference.
Chances are, if you’re talking to an employee at Braas, you’re talking to an owner. Braas is one of the few employee-owned companies in the automation industry; employees have part ownership of the company after one year. This means we’re all dedicated to being the best at what we do.
Our employees receive significant on-going training, and typically have several years experience in the industry. Because our people are invested in the company, and the company is invested in them, employee loyalty is high. Our average tenure at Braas Company is over six years – a long time in the automation business!
We also make sure that our people are easy to get ahold of when you need them. Our phone system and e-mail is designed so you get a live person the first time.
Braas in the community.
Braas is a recognized leader in the ESOP community, and serves as a resource to other organizations in the early stages of their ESOP development. We have been recognized as the ESOP Company of the Year and several of our employees have been recognized as ESOP Employees of the Year. Our Certified Employee Owner (CEO) "Buddy Training Program" has been used as a guideline for other ESOP companies to follow.
In the community at large, we participate in outreach programs with children and have received the "Golden Apple Award" from the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce in recognition of our work with local junior high school kids.
Braas supports a number of charitable organizations through our matching gifts program. In addition, Braas provides scholarships and other assistance to area Vocational Technical Colleges, and sponsors local food shelves.
Over the past few years, Braas has participated in raising funds for the following organizations: MN Chapter of the Volunteers of America; The Multiple Sclerosis Society’s 300-Mile Bike Ride Across Minnesota; March of Dimes’ "Wonder Walk"; The American Cancer Society’s "Relay for Life"; The Shriner’s Hospital; The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation; The Humane Society; Toys for Tots; and many more.
