This class provides a foundation for the Automation Professional on Industrial Ethernet Networking. This class assumes the attendee has no networking experience. Discussion will include basics of Ethernet and best practice tips in design and maintenance of Industrial Networks. The session will include a demonstration of managed switches, routers and network management and monitoring tools.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Engineering and Maintenance
- Introduction to Networking to include Ethernet and IP Addressing and subnet basics.
- How Network Switches work and the difference between Managed and Unmanaged Switches and Routers

- Redundancy Protocols
- Network Management Tools
- Segmenting large networks through VLANs and Routing
- Port forwarding and NAT
- Troubleshooting tools.
