Switches

Point of analysis, specific set point
Pressure-Switches-Mechanical

Mechanical
Diaphragm or piston element that deforms proportionally to the applied pressure until such pressure overcomes the range spring force behind it to actuate the switch.  Form of switch that closes an electrical contact when a certain set pressure has been reached on its input.

Pressure-Switches-Mechanical-Hazardous-Area

Mechanical Hazardous Area
Diaphragm or piston element that deforms proportionally to the applied pressure until such pressure overcomes the range spring force behind it to actuate the switch.  Form of switch that closes an electrical contact when a certain set pressure has been reached on its input.   Hazardous locations, including explosion-proof, non-incendive and intrinsically safe areas.

Pressure-Switches-Mechanical-Differential-Pressure

Mechanical Differential Pressure
Device which utilizes a differential air pressure to actuate an electric switch at a pre-set actuation point.

Pressure-Switches-Digital

Digital
Incorporates some variety of pressure transducer (strain gauge, capacitive element, or other) and an internal circuit to compare the measured pressure to a set point.

Transmitters

Devices that measure pressure and produce an output signal that is both linear and proportional to the applied pressure. A pressure sensor with a voltage output is a pressure transducer with an amplified voltage output signal. A pressure sensor with a current loop output is a pressure transmitter. Pressure transmitters use a strain gauge as the primary sensing element. The strain gauge is a series of resistors arranged in a circuit called a Wheatstone-Bridge. As the sensor is pressurized, the resistors are stretched and compressed by the pressure and their resistance changes in proportion to the amount of pressure applied
Pressure-Transmitters-Digital

Digital
Pressure transmitter with a display and switch point.

Pressure-Transmitters-Industrial-Analog

Industrial Analog
Measure the pressure of gases or liquids and transmit the measured values in mA or Vdc outputs.

Pressure-Transmitters-Hazardous-Area

Hazardous Area
Hazardous locations, including explosion-proof, non-incendive and intrinsically safe areas.

Pressure-Transmitters-Sanitary

Sanitary
Designed to meet strict environmental and cleanliness requirements typical of food, beverage, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and other manufacturing processes.

Pressure-Transmitters-submersible

Submersible
Used for level measurement.

Gauges

Visual display
Pressure-Gauges-Mechanical

Mechanical
As the process fluid pressure changes the pressure on the bourdon tube also changes which in turn moves the pointer on the gauge.  The measuring element deform elastically under the influence of pressure.

Pressure-Gauges-Digital

Digital
Devices that convert applied pressure into signals. Readouts are then displayed numerically.

Pressure-Gauges-Tridicators

Tridicators
Dual reading pressure and temperature instrument.
